BDBetCheck (bdbetcheck.com) is an independent scoring and comparison platform reviewing betting operators that accept Bangladeshi (৳ BDT) players. This policy explains what data we collect, why we collect it, and your rights under GDPR and the UK Data Protection Act 2018.
Data We Collect
We do not require user accounts or collect personally identifiable information through registration forms. If you contact us voluntarily, we retain only the email address and message content necessary to respond to your query.
Cookies and Analytics
We use first-party essential cookies for site functionality and Google Analytics (a third-party analytics cookie) to understand aggregate traffic patterns from BD and international visitors. Affiliate tracking pixels placed by linked BD operators may also set cookies when you click outbound review links — each operator’s own privacy policy governs that data.
Our cookies fall into three categories:
- Essential cookies — session management and security
- Analytics cookies — anonymised page-view data via Google Analytics
- Affiliate cookies — set by third-party BD betting platforms on click-through
Data Retention and Security
Analytics data is retained for 14 months before automatic deletion. Voluntary contact data is deleted within 90 days of resolving your query. We do not sell, rent, or share personal data with third parties beyond the processors listed above.
Your Rights
Under GDPR and DPA 2018, you have the right to access, rectify, or request deletion of any personal data we hold. Submit requests via our Contact page and we will respond within 30 days.
Cookie categories we use
BDBetCheck uses four categories of cookies, each of which you can inspect and control through your browser settings. Strictly necessary cookies keep the site running — they remember that you accepted the age gate, store your language preference, and preserve session state. Performance cookies (Google Analytics and an internal counter) aggregate anonymous metrics about which pages are most read and where visitors come from. Functional cookies remember small preferences such as your preferred currency display or whether you opted into dark mode. Targeting/advertising cookies are not used on this site; we do not run remarketing or behavioural advertising pixels. If you clear your browser cookies, the only user-facing change is that your preferences reset — no user history is lost because we do not maintain user accounts.
Data retention timelines
Analytics data is retained for 26 months before automatic deletion. Contact-form submissions are retained for 12 months for audit and support follow-up and are then purged. IP address logs on the hosting layer are rotated every 90 days; beyond that window no identifying network data is stored. Email subscription records are retained until you unsubscribe, at which point your address is removed from the mailing system within 30 days. We do not store payment information because we do not process payments — every betting operator reviewed on this site handles its own payments directly with you.
International data transfers
This site is hosted on infrastructure located within Asia. Where analytics providers process data outside Bangladesh, they do so under their own contractual data-protection obligations. We have reviewed the relevant sub-processors and require each to operate equivalent protections to the Bangladesh Personal Data Protection standards. If you would like the list of sub-processors we use, request it through the contact page and we will respond within five business days.
Exercising your data rights under Bangladesh law
Bangladeshi residents may request access to, correction of, or deletion of any personal data we hold about them. Submit requests via the contact form on this site; we will respond within 30 days. Where a request cannot be fulfilled (for example because legal retention obligations require us to keep a record), we will explain why in writing. Complaints about our handling of your data can be escalated to the relevant data-protection authority in Bangladesh or to an equivalent regulator in your jurisdiction of residence.
